1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Search Console for iOS ("the App") or the website at search-console.org ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App or Site.
These Terms are a legal agreement between you and the independent developer of the App and Site ("the developer," "we," or "us"). They apply together with our Privacy Policy.
2. Scope
The App is a client for Google Search Console. It is developed and operated by a solo developer, not by Google LLC.
Not affiliated with Google. The App and Site are not made by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with Google LLC. "Google," "Google Search Console," and related marks are trademarks of Google LLC.
Plain-language note: These Terms describe how you may use the App and Site today. They are not legal advice.
3. Description of service
The App lets you view and work with Google Search Console data on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Depending on your plan and permissions, features include:
- Google Sign-In with read-only or optional editing access to Search Console
- Performance analytics, search queries, top pages, Insights, and filters
- URL Inspection and sitemap viewing; submit or delete sitemaps only with editing access where your Google role allows
- Core Web Vitals through Google's PageSpeed Insights API for URLs you choose to analyze
- CSV and PDF export of reports you generate
- Optional Home Screen widgets (Pro, iPhone and iPad)
- Optional local push reminders and in-app notification history
- Optional in-app feedback and bug reporting
The free tier on iPhone and iPad includes one Search Console property and may show Google AdMob ads. Pro unlocks additional properties, removes in-app ads on supported platforms, and enables widgets as described in the App. The Mac app does not show in-app ads or Home Screen widgets.
The Site provides product information, release notes, legal pages, and links to download the App from the Apple App Store.
4. Requirements
To use the App's Google-connected features, you must:
- Have a valid Google account and access to the Search Console properties you want to view
- Approve the OAuth permissions the App requests (read-only or editing, plus email and profile for sign-in)
- Use a compatible iPhone, iPad, or Mac with a supported OS version and an internet connection when fetching new data from Google
- Comply with Google's terms and policies when using Google services through the App
Cached data may be available offline for review, but new reports require a connection to Google's services.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Pro subscriptions are sold through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Available plans, prices, and any free trial (such as a 7-day trial on the monthly plan when offered) are shown in the App at purchase time.
- Billing: Apple charges your Apple ID account. The developer does not process payment card data.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your App Store account settings.
- Management and refunds: Manage or cancel at Apple subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
- Entitlements: Pro features (such as multiple properties, ad removal on supported platforms, and widgets) apply while your subscription is active and recognized by StoreKit on your device.
By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's applicable terms for in-app purchases.
6. User responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App and Site only for lawful purposes
- Keep your Google and Apple account credentials secure
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App except where applicable law allows
- Not use the App to violate third-party rights or applicable law
- Not misuse Google APIs or attempt unauthorized access to Search Console data
- Report security issues responsibly through Contact or in-app feedback
7. Intellectual property
- The App's design, code, graphics, and Site content (except third-party marks and your data) belong to the developer
- Google trademarks and services remain Google's property
- Your Search Console data remains yours; the App displays it under your Google permissions
- You may not copy, sell, or redistribute the App or Site content except as allowed by law or with written permission
- Personal, non-commercial screenshots of the App are generally fine for reviews or demos
8. Data accuracy
Metrics and reports come from Google's APIs and are formatted for display. The developer does not guarantee that App data matches the web Search Console UI at every moment.
- Delays, rounding, API limits, or Google outages can affect completeness or timing
- Historical ranges depend on Google's retention and your property's data
- Business or SEO decisions based on App data are your responsibility
9. Privacy
How information is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. In summary: Search Console content is fetched from Google for display on your device; the developer does not operate a database of your Search Console metrics. Optional support messages you send are handled as described there.
10. Third-party services
The App and Site rely on services the developer does not control, including:
- Google - Sign-In, Search Console API, PageSpeed Insights, AdMob (free tier on iPhone and iPad), and Google Analytics on the Site
- Apple - App Store distribution, StoreKit, notifications, and Keychain
- Support delivery - optional feedback and Site contact messages routed through infrastructure the developer uses to receive support
Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. The developer is not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or data practices.
11. Google API user data
The App's use of information from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use. Google user data is used only to provide user-facing features you request in the App, not for ads or resale by the developer.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The App and Site are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.
The developer does not warrant uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation, compatibility with every future OS or API version, or that defects will be corrected.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business opportunities.
Where liability cannot be excluded, the developer's total liability for claims relating to the App or Site shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid the developer for the App or subscriptions in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (USD $50).
The developer is not liable for acts or omissions of Google, Apple, or other third parties.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App or Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights or applicable law, except where prohibited by law.
15. Termination
- You may stop using the App by uninstalling it and revoke Google access at Google Account permissions
- The developer may discontinue the App or Site or change features at any time
- Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) survive termination
16. Changes to terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be noted in the App or release notes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the developer's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be brought in the courts that have jurisdiction there, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
18. Severability
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
